It’s Sunday evening and I’m chilling and not even thinking about posting a blog today, and I’m sorry. I’m just trying to savour my last moments of freedom, peace, relaxation and the absolutely amazing feeling of not having to do any homework.
See, today is my last day of Dusshera holidays, and tomorrow begins the second term of school. Obviously, I’m not entirely happy about having to start working again (eh), but I am kind of looking forward to going back to school.
Now, I am a self-proclaimed and publicly acclaimed nerd in all spheres of life, so maybe this is just my better, nerd self, feeling excited to go back to what I do best. Learn. And I think that it has to do with the fact that school is an extremely positive atmosphere for me to work hard (i know, it’s weird saying that) and constantly get better at both the process of studying and creating a balanced livelihood between work and play.
And school has also helped me get better at blogging, too! It has taught me to manage my time efficiently enough to toggle between hard-core studies and hard-core writing multiple times a week. Right when I started blogging, in January of this year, my 8th-grade finals were getting closer (2 months away but still) and I was terrified that I would have to let go of one thing to let the other survive. But, against all odds, I used the power of scheduling blog posts to prepare in advance and ace all my tests as well. This probably isn’t a big deal for other, experienced bloggers, but to me, it was my first big achievement as an online creator.
Which brings me to the title of this post: collaborations. I have been talking to many of my writer friends behind the scenes to try to create cooler content, and I would love to collaborate with more.
For the month of November, I am really hoping that I get to collaborate with the super-cool Arabella from ahappilyellaafter.wordpress.com, who describes herself as “a 13-year-old blogger with big dreams.” It’s so good to have someone my age love something that I often consider to the reason for my sanity and, quite frankly, my life. Blogging has come to mean so much to me over the last few months, and I feel it necessary to share it with the people who love it as much as I do.
And so, Ella, if you’re reading this, hit me up on my mail or leave a comment below! Even if we don’t get the chance to collab, I’d be delighted to get to know you better. Thanks in advance 🙂
